A BRIEF HISTORY
• The school is located in Progreso St., Umingan, Pangasinan. It was founded in 1945 by Atty. Nicolas E. Adamos, who served as its first Director. The school was formally incorporated in 1947, and had its first graduates that same year. It was recognized by the government with Recognition No. 356 series of 1960. It is the first Private Educational Institution in town.
• In 1949, it was renamed Quezon Junior College. It offered Liberal Arts (A.A.), Elementary Teachers Course (E.T.C.) and the first and second year of Bachelor of Science in Education (B.S. E.) aside from offering Primary and Intermediate grades and Secondary (High School) courses.
• In 1962, the collegiate course were scrapped including the primary and intermediate grades, and was renamed QUEZON MEMORIAL ACADEMY. At present, the school offers Pre-Elementary, Elementary and High School courses although permission has been granted by the Ministry of Education to offer secretarial courses.
• The school maintains its high standards as the first High School in Umingan that set the record of having all examinees of the NCEE getting 100% passing grade (1977-1978) and in the succeeding years to date its attained 97%.
• The school also offers scholarship grants to TOP TEN Elementary graduates from Public and Private Schools. This scholarship program of the school is implemented thru the assistance of friends, businessmen, alumni and some National and Local officials government.
